DETAiLS
Driven by a central interest in microbiology, I have gained extensive research experience within the fields of bacteriology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. I apply these skills as a research technician here at the CPM, where I am primarily working on glycoproteomics projects in collaboration with industrial partners.
CURRICULUM VITAE
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research from Hogeschool Leiden in 2022. My thesis internship on immunodiagnostics of mycobacterial diseases at the LUMC Dept. of Infectious Diseases sparked my passion for biomedical research and convinced me to pursue further study. After completing the premaster program, I began my master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Leiden University in 2023. Here, I further specialized in microbiology, starting with a six-month internship at the LUMC Dept. of Medical Microbiology exploring resistance against a novel class of antibiotics in Clostridioides difficile – a project I continued working on for an additional six months post-internship. For my final thesis internship, I joined the CPM Proteomics group on a joint project with the Experimental Bacteriology group (Dept. LUCID), unravelling the biosynthetic pathway of a unique flagellar glycan in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In August 2026, I obtained my master’s degree, and I subsequently started as a research technician at CPM.
