About this group

The Bioinformatics (Palmblad) Group’s primary research focus is computational proteomics – ranging from experimental design to reproducible workflows for data analysis, visualization and interpretation.

The core team supports collaborators at the LUMC and beyond in designing experiments and supervising staff and students, promoting robust, reusable and scalable data analysis pipelines. We also have a key role in European and international networks working to improve reproducibility of biomedical research and train the next generation of scientists in mass spectrometry, proteomics and bioinformatics. We routinely offer courses at the LUMC within the Medical Genetics framework, such as on scripting and on multiomics data analysis.
