Driving Innovation in Biomedical Research
At the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics (CPM), we develop and apply state-of-the-art technologies to explore the molecular mechanisms behind disease. By analyzing proteins, metabolites, lipids, and glycans, we support all research themes at the LUMC—advancing technological innovation, biomedical discovery, and improvements in public health.
We are in the middle of a molecular revolution in life sciences. New tools now allow us to study the proteome, metabolome, lipidome, and glycome of complex organisms with high precision. These technologies, combined with powerful computational methods, help us make sense of complex biological data.
We now better understand how molecular systems interact with environmental, genetic, and epigenetic factors to shape life processes. Our mission at CPM is to accelerate this molecular revolution and help translate scientific discoveries into public health benefits.
