DETAILS

My role in the MS imaging group is research technician, and my projects mainly involve MSI-based metabolomics and lipidomics. I work on sample preparation, data processing and data analysis. My main projects derive from the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW) in which the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics is the expertise center for Metabolomics.

CURRICULUM VITAE

In 2015 I started at Hogeschool Leiden where I studied Biology and Medical Laboratory Sciences (HLO). During my graduation internship, I worked on antimicrobial peptides against antibiotic resistant bacteria at the Infectious Diseases department in the LUMC, and in 2019 I graduated my Bachelor of Applied Sciences (BASc) and started the pre-master for Biomedical Sciences at the Leiden University. In 2020 I entered the Biomedical Sciences Master program at Leiden University. My first Master internship was a collaboration between the Pathology department and CPM at the LUMC. Here I cultured chondrosarcoma cell lines into 3D models which I analyzed with MS imaging using bottom-up proteomics. During my second Master internship I investigated the effect of endogenous glucocorticoid excess on the mouse brain monoaminergic systems by examining the gene expression of serotonin and dopamine pathway genes. In 2022 I graduated as Master of Science and started working as a research technician in the MS imaging group at CPM.
