Ir. Rob Marissen

Rob Marissen is a scientific software developer at the CPM and supports the IT infrastructure of the department. He has bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and a master in Technical Physics, and started his career developing embedded software, mainly for laboratory and medical equipment. After becoming more and more interested in life science and particularly in how the molecular machinery within cells work, he joined the LUMC in 2008. Here, he is a member of the Bioinformatics group of the CPM. Current interests are making mass spectrometry software more accessible by web based technologies and applying modern software development practices aimed at improving quality and security.
