Dr. Bart Claushuis

DETAILS

I studied Biology at Leiden University with a specialization in molecular genetics and biotechnology and graduated in 2020. After obtaining my master’s degree, I started my PhD at the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics at the LUMC. During these four years, I studied the specificity, structure, and function of a unique group of bacterial proteases called Pro-Pro endopeptidases. I made use of various mass spectrometry techniques including synthetic combinatorial peptide libraries, TAILS N-terminomics and overall comparative proteomics.
